| San Diego hires Gonzaga assistant Grier |

| Gonzaga assistant Bill Grier was hired as head basketball coach at the University of San Diego on Sunday. Grier will be introduced at a news conference Monday afternoon. The 43-year-old replaces Brad Holland, who was fired on March 8 after 13 years at the West Coast Conference school. Grier has been on Gonzaga's staff for 16 years, under three different head coaches. | |
