Marta Fernandez signs with Sparks

Spanish star Marta Fernandez has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA. The 25-year-old Fernandez played for U.B. Barca the last three seasons, averaging 18.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 steals. She was the Most Valuable Player in the Women's Spanish League last year. The 5-foot-11 shooting guard has played in 90 international games with the Spanish national team.
