China builds 51 dams to slow toxic spill

Chinese authorities tried to slow the spread of the toxic spill that tainted the drinking water of at least 50,000 people by building 51 temporary dams and using fire trucks to pump polluted water out of the river.  The spill of 60 tons of coal tar into the river Monday was the latest in a series of mishaps to degrade the country's already polluted waterways.
