Weight's goal in SO gets Blues by Wings

Two shootout tries were decided by replay. Both calls went against the Detroit Red Wings. Doug Weight scored the only goal of the tiebreaker -- a shot overturned on a review -- giving the St. Louis Blues a 3-2 win over the Red Wings on Saturday. Weight's shot was originally ruled as a save, but then changed to a goal.

Bobcats without six players against Nets

The Charlotte Bobcats were without five injured players -- including their top three scorers -- Saturday night against New Jersey. Leading scorer Gerald Wallace did not dress due to severe cramping he suffered Friday following a loss in Philadelphia. Starting point guard Raymond Felton, who suffered a bruised thigh against the 76ers, also did not play.

Pens beat Atlanta on Staal's fluky goal

Thrashers goalie Kari Lehtonen could barely describe Pittsburgh's winning goal, so it's no surprise he couldn't stop the peculiar puck. Jordan Staal was credited with the fluky winning goal with 9:41 left and the Penguins beat Atlanta 2-1 on Saturday. "It was some kind of monkey puck or something," Lehtonen said.

Hilbert's goal lifts Isles past Flyers

Islanders coach Ted Nolan called it his team's biggest goal this year, a shot that kept New York in the playoff chase. Andy Hilbert scored the decisive goal with 4:40 remaining and the New York Islanders defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 on Saturday. "That was probably Andy's biggest goal and the biggest goal for us this year so far," Nolan said.

Rangers rally to beat Bruins 2-1 in SO

The New York Rangers needed a win more than the Boston Bruins, and they played like it. Coming alive in front of a friendly road crowd when Thomas Pock tied the game with 100 seconds in regulation, the Rangers beat Boston 2-1 in a shootout on Saturday to solidify their hold on the Eastern Conference's seventh playoff spot.

Wings D Lebda carried off on stretcher

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Brett Lebda was carried off the ice on a stretcher minutes into Saturday's game with the St. Louis Blues after having his face rammed into one of the metal stanchions that supports the glass behind the Detroit net. The Red Wings said Lebda had a concussion, and was taken to Detroit Medical Center for precautionary tests.
