Hansbrough, Heels a tough task for USC

Tyler Hansbrough can appear so focused on the court, he seems downright possessed. Easy to see why he earned the nickname "Psycho T" even before he got bloodied by a broken nose. That's why it looked so strange to see him standing out on the wing, swishing 3-pointers and dribbling between his legs. And laughing.

Stoudemire powers Suns by Kings 118-100

One bad game was more than enough for Amare Stoudemire. The Phoenix Suns' big man bounced back from one of his worst outings of the season to score 33 points and grab 21 rebounds and lead the Phoenix Suns to a 118-100 victory over a Sacramento team playing without Ron Artest on Thursday night. It was the first time Stoudemire had topped 30 points and 20 rebounds in a game in his career.

The Houston Rockets built a big lead on Detroit on Thursday, playing at the level coach Jeff Van Gundy wants to see when the postseason begins. Then came the fourth quarter. Yao Ming scored 27 points, grabbed seven rebounds and made a key block in the final minute as the Rockets hung on for a 91-85 victory over the Pistons.

DiPietro helps Isles top Pens, snap skid

The New York Islanders are a totally different team with Rick DiPietro in goal. DiPietro, who missed three games due to a head injury, turned aside 35 shots, and the Islanders snapped a four-game losing streak by beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-1 Thursday night. Thomas' tip-in lifts Bulls over Nuggets

Tyrus Thomas wasn't quite sure what happened. The details were a little fuzzy, so he might want to save the video because this one is worth another look. The rookie scored on a tip-in with two-tenths of a second left after Ben Gordon's missed jumper, giving the Chicago Bulls a 109-108 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.
