Investor's Business Daily - Credit card numbers can be illegally purchased online for $1 and personal identity data, such as banking info and federal ID numbers, can be found for $14, a study by security software maker Symantec showed. The report said 31% of Internet hacking, virus and "phishing" attacks originated inside the U.S., making it the world leader in PC piracy. China was second and Germany ranked third. Hackers targeted home PCs 93% of the time, it said. |
